This terrifying encounter happened nearly 29 years ago in New Delhi, with my uncle, who was then working as a Senior Cargo Inspector at Safdarjung Airport. He mostly worked night shifts, managing international flight cargo. A perfume lover, he always wore strong fragrances — a detail that became eerily important later.
🌫️ The Incident Begins…
It was a typical foggy winter night in India. My uncle left home around 7:45 PM on his scooter, carrying official documents for his shift. The route to Safdarjung Airport in the early 90s was not well developed — a poorly lit, tree-lined path that felt unsettling even on normal nights.
While riding, a small bump made the documents fall off his scooter. He pulled over, parked, and bent down to collect the papers.
And that’s when the horror began.
He says —
“Even though it was foggy, I saw a pair of legs… just legs. No body. Nothing above the knees. I assumed someone was there to help, but when those legs began to move around me without making a sound… I froze. My body wouldn’t move — only my heart was racing.”
